Maureen Laning, owner of the Bedford Village Florist has worked within the floral industry for over 20 years. Her exquisite artistry with flowers and individual, personalized attention serve area businesses and residents in the areas of event planning, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, holiday decorating, corporate functions and everyday occasions.
Prior to opening the Bedford Village Florist, Maureen spent 6 years honing her skills at a local flower shop in Chappaqua, New York.
Maureen holds a certificate in Commercial Floral Design from the world-renowned New York Botanical Garden. In addition, she holds an AS in Business Administration from Dutchess Community College.
In addition to instructing both Floral Design and Practical (Business) Planning at the New York Botanical Gardens, Maureen has worked on symposiums at the Waldorf Astoria for the Flower Council of Holland and counts Tiffany and Nordstrom among her commercial accounts. Her work has been shown in Brides New York magazine.
Maureen is president of the Bedford Village Business Association and is a charter member of the Women’s Business Connection. She resides in New York City with her husband.
