Welcome to the Women’s Business Connection

One cold, January morning, Carollee Cabot came bouncing into my Westchester office with a warm smile and a fresh box of donuts. She had visited my office before and always left a positive impression. A lively conversation ensued about the challenges and opportunities of being a woman entrepreneur and she left me feeling empowered and energetic.

Drawing inspiration from my sister, who cultivated a local networking group of dynamic entrepreneurial women in Maine, I called Carollee later that week and proposed we start a Westchester women’s networking group with like-minded, professional women. We met at a local eatery in Bedford and brainstormed our combined contacts to formulate the group’s charter membership. Pam Dwyer and Susan Marocco immediately came on board, with Kelley Briggs, Monique Shire and Maureen Laning to follow. The Women’s Business Connection was born.
